Ant Idol Chapter 2, Threads of the Crown City - Part 2, is now available to read.

The first chapter showed catastrophe spreading through Fortuna. The second moves closer to the people caught inside it.

Fortuna through Cynewulf's eyes

Part 2 follows Cynewulf as he experiences the city's destruction from within the collapse. Control disappears quickly. Decisions that might once have seemed small become irreversible, and hesitation carries a human cost.

Injured and buried beneath the aftermath, Cynewulf eventually wakes to a world that no longer resembles the one he knew. What remains is not a return to normality, but a choice about what to do when the old order has already failed.

That shift in perspective is important to Ant Idol. Large historical events are never only background. Empires, disasters, and political decisions matter because individual people are forced to live through their consequences.

From catastrophe to consequence

Where Chapter 1 establishes the destruction of Fortuna, Chapter 2 begins tracing what that destruction does to the people who survive it. The story becomes smaller in scale for a moment, but more personal.

This is also part of the structure of the opening arc: the same collapse can mean something entirely different depending on where a person stands, what they lose, and what they choose afterward.

Ant Idol can be read on GlobalComix, Tapas, NamiComi, and WEBTOON.
