Ant Idol Begins: Threads of the Crown City
The opening chapter of Ant Idol introduces Fortuna at the moment ordinary life gives way to catastrophe and begins the story that will shape Eisen's future.

The first chapter of Ant Idol, Threads of the Crown City, is now available to read.
The series begins in Fortuna, capital of the Northern Circle Empire: a city built on wealth, noise, ambition, and the assumption that tomorrow will resemble today. That assumption does not survive the chapter.
The day Fortuna stops being ordinary
The opening chapter follows the city as something begins to rise beyond its walls. What starts as an ordinary day in a crowded tavern turns into panic when the people of Fortuna realize that the danger is no longer approaching. It is already among them.
The destruction of Fortuna is more than an opening spectacle. It establishes the event that will cast a shadow over the story to come and over the life of a boy named Eisen.
Ant Idol is built as a long-form dark-fantasy coming-of-age story about power, origin, ambition, and personal agency. Eisen begins at the bottom of a society in which status determines how much a life is worth. The fall of Fortuna is the point from which that life begins to take shape.
Where the story begins
Threads of the Crown City is the first part of Ant Idol's opening arc. Its role is to establish the world before asking what survives when the structures inside it fail.
Ant Idol can be read on GlobalComix, Tapas, NamiComi, and WEBTOON.
