To those who curse the rain

There is rain
in the air
everywhere I go.
A certain smell,
a light-soaked breeze
coating my skin,
guiding me.
On good days
I see the sun,
but it is hot and uncomfortable.
I can’t take the heat of the day.
I like to watch
the small droplets fall.
It is the first time
at night
that I finally get to look out of the window.
How calmly they drop
to the ground.
On heavy days
I like to taste them.
Makes the rain lighten up
and wash over me.
I wish it would rain always
and never stop.
Life would not exist
without it.
